BREAK FREE FROM THE SHADOW OF THE PAST AND FIND PEACE

Virtual therapy for women in Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia

Welcome!

I help people struggling with the effects of childhood trauma find relief and regain connection to themselves and others without shutting down or remaining stuck in the past.

My clients struggle just like you.

Despite appearing put together on the surface, successful, and deeply loved by those around them, life is hard.

When they first come in, they feel like they’d be most comfortable on the Isle of Misfit Toys. It seems like their stories are so different from those around them, and no one can possibly understand what they’re going through.

They often feel overwhelmed by loneliness, sadness, worry, and thoughts that they will never be good enough. They try so hard to make sense of these thoughts and emotions. Some blend into the background, trying not to be seen, while others work super hard and become perfectionists, people pleasers, or overachievers.

They ignore their own needs and hide parts of themselves from friends, family members, and colleagues out of fear that they’ll be judged, shamed, or ejected. As a result, they hold back the best parts of themselves. They find they don’t know what to trust and end up messing up relationships or missing out on opportunities.

Their tendency to numb out, avoid, or give into their big emotions gets in the way of their dreams in so many ways. They aren’t the friend, spouse, parent, or family member they want to be. They feel like they’re failing at life, and their confidence at work or school is crumbling.

Before they came to see me,

they were certain nothing could help them feel better. They worried that talking about past traumatic events would cause them to feel out of control or make things worse. After all, they live every day trying to push away those reminders, memories, or nightmares, so why voluntarily bring it up with a complete stranger? Like my clients, you deserve to feel understood and supported in your healing. A healthy relationship with yourself and others is not out of your reach.

I invite you to reach out. You don’t have to continue fighting alone.
I’m here to help.
